About Us
An equity-driven collaborative process.
Who We Are: Community Members and Leaders
Our members represent public health and social service agencies, libraries, hospitals, small businesses, churches, neighborhoods, and more. Other members participate as individuals to share their insight and represent their own communities.
What We Do: Community Health Improvement and Building Capacity
We’re working alongside local community health efforts to improve equity in data collection, analysis, and strategy implementation. We also use training and outreach to build capacity for people to improve equity in their own organizations, workplaces, and communities.
How We Do It: Grounded in Racial Equity
We begin from an understanding of the reality of racism as a public health crisis. Structural racism is the underlying cause of disparities in social determinants of health and resulting health outcomes for Black people and other people of color.
